Your role at St John of God Ballarat Hospital The Administration Assistant is responsible for providing high-level administration support to the relevant department. The Position Contributes to and is involved in Quality Activities with a focus on best practice. Participates in determining and evaluating the quality of care being delivered to patients. Co-operates in data collection of hospital-wide Quality Activity projects and Clinical Indicators. Ensures that the need of the customer, both internal and external, receives the highest priority and that the objective is to exceed the customer’s expectations Provide sensitive management of the reception area, dealing with patients and other stakeholders who inquire about the service and welcoming patients who come for appointments. Manage the telephone lines and sensitively handle telephone calls from patients. Liaise with Health Funding team and Front Office Manager regarding any amendments to Health Fund contracts within WebPASAssist with patient account payments, rotary House bookings and payments Ensure that the telephone system is maintained Process patient registration forms Enter patient data into IBA for all admissions and discharges You will have demonstrated ability and commitment to maintaining confidentiality, advanced skills and knowledge with a range of computer packages, particularly the Microsoft Office suite and sound analytical and report writing skills. We can offer you Salary: $57,742 to $59,369 plus 11% superannuation A casual Night Shift position working 2200-0800 during the week and 2230-0800 on weekends and public holidays.
