The Role We are looking for a casual cleaner who are passionate about a person-centred approach to care, to join our 88-bed facility in Kempsey NSW. It is essential that you understand residential aged care environment and standards and have a high level of empathy and compassion for our residents. We have a range of shifts available, however flexibility is ideal to enable us to provide the 24/7 support to residents. What you will do You will be reporting to the Support Services Supervisor and are responsible for: Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms and living areas Cleaning communal and dining areas Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use. Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules Completing required documentation and reporting Always treating residents with courtesy and respect, placing their safety and quality of life front of mind What you will bring Proven cleaning experience Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes highly regarded but not essential Currently hold and maintain a Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain) Hold full rights to work within Australia What’s in it for you?
