(pro rata) ASO2 | Part Time, 7.5 hours p/w ongoing in Ward 6DGM and 7.5 hours per week ongoing in Ward 6G Join the friendly an supportive team in the Medical Ward as a Administrative Assistant The Ward Administrative Assistant reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and Administration Manager, for the provision of administrative, clerical and reception services. General Medicine is one of the largest services in the hospital and deals with patients requiring emergency hospital care for medical conditions who have complex and multi-system disease. About the Role: As the Administrative Assistant, your duties can include: Answering all incoming telephone calls and dealing with routine patient enquiries – using judgement in conveying appropriate information. Welcoming and directing visitors to the patient concerned. Maintain and update patient Electronic medical records on EMR PAS Liaising with other departments (eg to Radiology, laboratories, other medical staff) as requested by the NUM. To be successful in this role, you will need: Previous experience as a Ward Administrative Assistant/Admin Assistant. Experience working with distressed patients/carers with empathy.
